The Segeberger Forst
The Segeberger Forst with an area of over 4.000ha is one of the largest interconnected forest areas in Schleswig-Holstein. Predominantly one will see spruces, pines and larches but also beeches and oaks.
Starting point for hiking and bicycle tours on sign-posted routes� are the villages Bockhorn, Schafhaus (in the community Bark), Wahlstedt, Hartenholm, Hasenmoor and Heidm�hlen as well as car parks at the main roads. Very charming is the valley of the Osterau with the surrounding meadowsm forest and bog areas.
Special attractions in the Segeberger Forst and the nearby surroundings are the�Wildpark Eekholt,�the airfield Hartenholm,�the forest playground with playing field and bbq place at the�road Heidm�hlen - Hartenholm, the recreational wood Wahlstedter Gehege and the M�zener Lake.

Tour 17 (ca. 25,5km)

The Tour 17�runs for over 50 percent on pure forest paths through the lovely Segeberger Forst.
The relatively short tours is being complemented by a very beautiful section between Schafhaus and Vossh�hlen with wonderful views over the countryside.

If you want to have your bicycle checked before you take off on your tour, need accessories or even a brand new bicycle then you are at the right place at "Pedal-Kraft" at the nearby Bad Segeberg.
